The Idea
Instead of following one written story, The Lantern Archives watches whole fantasy worlds unfold. Kingdoms build trust, trade, hold grudges, go to war, and absorb their rivals while notable people pursue goals and leave marks on history.

In Development
A persistent fantasy simulation that creates kingdoms, conflicts, characters, and histories worth remembering.
Instead of following one written story, The Lantern Archives watches whole fantasy worlds unfold. Kingdoms build trust, trade, hold grudges, go to war, and absorb their rivals while notable people pursue goals and leave marks on history.
When a world reaches its end, it becomes a numbered cycle with a summary of what happened. Particularly eventful worlds can be preserved as recordings and connected to their permanent archive pages.
Relationships, wars, rivals, loyalties, and renowned figures persist long enough for later events to call back to earlier history.
The planned experience combines an always-moving archive display with licensed background music and a continuous YouTube broadcast.
A generated website will preserve completed cycles and connect significant moments to recordings where available.
StrathWorks is bringing together world simulation, long-term memory, a generated archive, and watchable recordings to create one continuous fantasy history.
The Lantern Archives is designed as a world people can discover in motion, revisit through recordings, and explore through a permanent record of every completed cycle.
